The idea
Your everyday car. Your weekend escape.
The Kia PV5 represents a new kind of campervan: compact enough for everyday driving, yet versatile enough for weekends and longer escapes.
Fully electric and contemporary, it is designed to fit naturally into daily life, and make adventure easier to say yes to.

The base vehicle
Why we chose the Kia PV5
We chose the PV5 because its technology and purpose-built design give us strong foundations for a genuinely functional everyday campervan. The campervan will be based on the Cargo version for maximum utility and space.
A practical electric range
The long-range PV5 Cargo has an official range of up to 258 miles before conversion—enough to make everyday journeys, weekends away and adventures further afield feel comfortably within reach.
It has also shown just how capable it can be, travelling an impressive 430.84 miles on a single charge during a fully loaded Guinness World Record run. That isn’t a typical everyday range figure, but it’s an exciting glimpse of the PV5’s efficiency and potential.
We’ll share honest, real-world figures once our finished campervan has been built and tested.
Source: Kia UK Press Office — PV5 Cargo Guinness World RecordFast charging for longer journeys
The PV5 Cargo can charge from 10–80% in approximately 30 minutes (using a suitable DC fast charger & depending on conditions).
That makes longer journeys more practical: while you stop for the coffee or lunch break you’d likely take anyway, your van can recharge so you’re ready to continue your journey.
Utility Mode made for time away
Utility Mode uses the PV5’s main battery to keep features such as heating and air conditioning running when parked, helping to keep the van comfortable when you’re relaxing or sleeping inside.
Power for campervan living
Vehicle-to-load technology allows the PV5’s main battery to power compatible appliances and equipment. This could include the fridge, induction hob and plug sockets, as well as charging e-bikes and outdoor equipment.
Using the vehicle’s existing battery in this way may reduce the need for a large, separate leisure-power system—saving weight, space and cost. We’ll confirm exactly how it will work in our campervan as development continues & its impact on the range.
Pet Mode for four-legged travellers
For many of us, a campervan trip wouldn’t be complete without the dog.
When the PV5 is parked, Pet Mode uses the vehicle’s main battery to help keep the inside at a comfortable temperature—making it easier for four-legged companions to join you on adventures away.
Compact proportions, impressive space
The PV5’s long wheelbase, low floor and boxy shape create a surprisingly flexible interior for seating, storage, sleeping and everyday living.
Despite the usable space inside, its compact proportions, low step-in height and approximately 5.5-metre turning radius should make it easy to access and manageable around towns, car parks and tighter roads.

Early design concept
This image illustrates the intended look and feel of our PV5 conversion. The final layout, features, materials and finishes may change as the design is developed and tested.
The Design
Premium design on a more compact scale
For years, we’ve created high-end, homely campervans for people who want to travel further and enjoy more time away.
With the PV5’s smaller footprint, we’re focusing on what matters most in a compact and versatile campervan: clever use of space, flexible living and a comfortable interior you’ll genuinely enjoy spending time in.
The result will bring the same contemporary style, thoughtful attention to detail and personal customer service associated with Vanlife Conversions.
The Specifications
What we currently expect the PV5 campervan to include
The final specification is still being developed, but here’s what we currently expect the PV5 campervan to include.
Two or four-berth layouts
Choose a two-berth layout or add an optional pop-top to create sleeping space for up to four people.
Four belted travelling seats
A Rusty Lee bed in the rear will provide two additional belted seats and convert into the main sleeping area. Together with the two swivel cab seats, it will create a sociable space for eating, relaxing and spending time together.
A compact, practical kitchen
The kitchen area is expected to include a sink, induction hob and fridge, along with clever storage designed to make the most of every bit of available space.
Insulated for year-round adventures
We’re looking at using a combination of cork and PIR insulation to help keep the campervan comfortable throughout the year.
Flexible power options
The PV5’s main battery could provide much of the power needed for campervan living, with optional solar panels and additional leisure batteries available for those who want more off-grid capability.
Homely, practical design
The interior will have the warm, contemporary feel of our larger bespoke conversions, adapted for a smaller space with durability, flexibility and everyday practicality at its heart.
All features are subject to development, testing and final specification.

Experience and care at every stage
We’re combining our years of campervan conversion experience with the latest specialist IMI electric vehicle training to thoughtfully develop and test the PV5.
Our award-winning customer service and dedicated client portal will keep you informed throughout your build—and our friendly support will continue long after you collect your campervan.

Who it’s for
Created for a different kind of campervan owner
“From the everyday to the unforgettable—all in one vehicle.”
Whether you’re relaxing after a day at the beach, exploring nearby villages by bike, visiting friends or heading away for a week or two, the PV5 is designed to fit around the way you want to travel.
Its compact size makes it easy to use every day, without limiting it to short breaks.
For those who prioritise a permanent shower, significantly more living space or extended off-grid capability, one of our larger conversions may be a better fit. See our larger campervans here.
Something bigger
Looking for something larger and electric?
The PV5 is the first step in our electric campervan plans—but it won’t be the only one.
We’re also exploring larger electric vans for customers who want more living space, greater off-grid capability and the features of a full-sized campervan, without returning to a conventional diesel vehicle.
These conversions are still in the pipeline. If a larger electric campervan sounds closer to what you’re looking for, let us know when you join the waitlist and we’ll keep you updated as our plans develop.

Frequently asked questions
When will the PV5 campervan be available?
The conversion is currently in development. Waitlist members will be the first to receive confirmed timelines and ordering information. More information will be available by October 2026.
How much will it cost?
We currently expect the finished campervan to retail in the region of £65,000–£75,000, depending on the final specification and selected options.
Pricing remains indicative until development is complete.
Will every conversion be bespoke?
The PV5 will be more defined and less individually bespoke than our larger conversions.
This will allow us to develop a thoroughly considered layout, maintain consistency and carefully manage the weight requirements of a compact electric platform.
Customers will still be able to personalise selected finishes and options, with full details to be announced.
Will it have a pop-top?
A pop-top is planned as an option.
Will it include a shower?
No. The PV5 is being designed as a compact everyday campervan, so the available space will be prioritised for flexible living, storage and sleeping.
Customers wanting a shower and greater off-grid capability should explore our larger bespoke conversions.
What range will it have after conversion?
The long-range base vehicle has an official quoted range of up to 256 miles (WLTP) before conversion.
The conversion, passengers, luggage, weather, speed, driving style and use of heating or other systems will all influence real-world range.
We’ll share more information on this once we have built and tested the finished campervan.
How quickly will it charge?
Kia states that the PV5 Passenger can charge from 10–80% in approximately 30 minutes when using a suitable DC fast charger. Actual charging time will depend on the charger, battery temperature, weather conditions and other factors. We’ll share real-world charging information during development and testing.
Does joining the waitlist guarantee a build slot?
No. The waitlist is free and gives you early access to development updates, confirmed specifications and ordering information.
Can I reserve a build slot now?
Yes. If you’re ready to take the next step, you can reserve a provisional place in our build queue with a smaller deposit, subject to availability.
